Fateme Nikseresht

PhD Candidate at the University of Virginia

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Virginia (UVA). I work under the supervision of Dr. Brad Campbell. I am also a member of UVA Engineering Link Lab. My research focuses on the intersection of wireless systems and networking, smart buildings, smart health, signal processing, and machine learning.

In addition to my academic pursuits, I am currently interning at the UVA Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE), working under the guidance of Dr. Lindsay Wheeler. I am privileged to be contributing to the HHMI Inclusive Excellence 3 (IE3) initiative, which focuses on conducting research to cultivate more equitable and inclusive learning experiences within introductory STEM courses.

Prior to embarking on my Ph.D. journey, I earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Shiraz University, advised by Dr. Alireza Keshavarz-Hadad.
